Ingredients:
For the pastry:
- 500 g flour
- 250 g butter (cold)
- 1 pack backpulver
- 200 g sour creme or jogurt
- 6 tablespoon sugar
- 2 eggs
- salt
For the filling: fresh berries
Method
Put into a medium bowl the flour, backpulver, sugar and salt and mix them. Add the eggs, the sour creme or jogurt and the butter. Use your fingers to mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until mixture point. It should look like a ball in the end.
Leave to rest for half / one hour.
To make the pie:
Cut the dough ¾. On a lightly floured surface roll the bigger part about 1 cm wide. Cover with butter a cake-tin and put the pastry inside. (You can use round or rectangle cake-tin, whatever you prefer.) Put it into the oven and prebake for 10 minutes. The berries should be covered in flour. For this, put some flour into a plate and put the berries in it. Mix them slightly. Then pile the berries on the top of the prebaked pastry. This process helps avoid making the pastry wet. Then take the smaller part of the dough and a slightly floured surface and make finger-wide strips. In the end, lay the strips over the filled pie, in parallel and equally spaced from one another. Bake at 180°C for 30-40 minutes. When it is slightly brown, use a fork to check whether it is baked. After letting it cool down a bit, just cut it into small pieces.
Enjoy your pie!
